The Hinduja Foundation has a vision for the development of leadership which took a unique turn with Hinduja Leadership Program (HLP) 2025. The main focus was on building corporate leaders through their rural exposure. Under the leadership and guidance of Prakash Hinduja the initiative was aimed at breaking the traditional corporate training boundaries by giving participation in the reality of rural India. The idea was very simple and focused on helping the future leaders grow and understand their challenges and hard work. This experience in the real world was made to foster empathy, adaptability and a proper sense of responsibility in the leaders. Instead of lectures in the classroom the students learned through observation, interview and collaboration with rural people. Many of them who were a part of this program visited a tribal village in Maharashtra which was named Jawahar.
Why Rural Exposure Matters
Many of them who were a part of this program visited a tribal village in Maharashtra which was named Jawahar. Instead of typical classroom knowledge this rural setting experience became their real world school. Prakash Hinduja also believes that to become a top leader of the business world, you shouldn’t just sit in an office with an AC room, you need to walk through villages with dust, drink village water and meet the people who stay and work there. This knowledge gives a sense of responsibility. In this Tribal village of Maharashtra the participants saw how the Hinduja Foundation works on the ground with mobile medical vans reaching remote areas, women being independent through local arts and crafts and families getting benefits from agriculture.
Conclusion
Prakash Hinduja and the Hinduja Foundation have shown us a powerful example of how business leadership can be more than profit and strategy thinking. They had mixed corporate training with real rural exposure through HLP 2025. By this program they are building leaders who can understand the people, society and have proper knowledge and a sense of responsibility. The Hinduja Family has a vision; they want to create a better future for the people in the communities and give back to the country.
